Mitch Hedberg died in 2005. I'm clueless. I've enjoyed his comedy whenever I've seen it on TV or when I've bits on Sirius Radio. I had no idea until tonight that he dies from a mixed-drug overdose in 2005.
Well, his widow is releasing a new CD of his material on Sept 9, 2008. His life ended way too soon. He has a Steven Wright-type delivery, yet his delivery is much more energetic and spirited. One of the things I like best about his routines is when the joke bombs. He was very keenly aware of things like that, and he would say things like, "you will get that joke later" or something that the audience know HE knew it bombed, which invariably made things even funnier.
I'm a few years late, but the world of comedy will always be missing the comedy that only Mitch could have provided...
